Education Cannot Wait (Ecw) Mid-Term Evaluation Commissioned By Unicef In Syria

Evaluation of the programme in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan involving the review of all grant-related documents, including grant proposals, project plans, and budget estimates, to assess their feasibility, relevance, and alignment with the overall goals of the program.

In addition, the evaluation involved conducting interviews with beneficiaries and external experts to gather their perspectives on the effectiveness and impact of the grants and the communications and advocacy interventions being financed by the grants. Also responsible for conducting thorough analysis of the grant projects to evaluate their performance, outcomes, and impact. This analysis involved collecting and reviewing data on the projects’ achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, as well as assessing their alignment with the broader program objectives.

To provide a more comprehensive understanding of the grant projects, the evaluation also involved developing case studies of selected grant recipients. These case studies provided in-depth insight into the projects’ implementation processes, challenges faced, and outcomes achieved, and were used to identify best practices and areas for improvement in the implementation of future grants.

Finally, the evaluator was responsible for reporting on the evaluation findings and recommendations to the EED management team. This reporting involved synthesizing and summarizing the evaluation results, highlighting key strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement, and providing recommendations for the future implementation of grant projects.
